    Swordfish Swim Team

    The Eastmoor Swordfish Swim Team is for swimmers looking to improve their strokes through regular practice and meets all in a fun, community-oriented team.

     

    Important dates for the 2024 season include:
    Meet #1: Wednesday, June 19 @ 5:30pm
    Meet #2: Wednesday, June 26 @ 5:30pm
    Meet #3: Wednesday, July 10 @ 5:30pm
    Champs: Tuesday, July 16 + Wednesday, July 17
    Invitational: Saturday, July 20

     

    Regular JV practices are Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays at various times based on the following age groups:

     

    9-9:45am: U6, ages 6+ and under
    Very slow-paced introductory drills to competitive swimming

     

    9:45-10:45am: U8, ages 7-9(ish)
    Same as above but with added volume & very short, basic training “sets”

     

    10:45am-11:45am: U10 & U12, ages 9-12(ish)
    Continue focus on stroke development through sets to build strength/stamina

     

    Regular Varsity practices are Mondays and Thursdays from 7:45-9pm, AND Tuesdays and Saturdays from 11:45am-1pm.

    Varsity practices similar to a high-school practice for upper MS & HS athletes

    Swim Lessons

    Join us for Session 2 Swim Lessons at the Eastmoor Pool. All swim abilities welcome!

     

    Swim Lessons are designed to take non-swimmers to early swimmers. 

     

    Lessons are open to both members and non-members. We offer two swim lesson sessions per summer, each structured 3 days a week for 3 weeks -- for a total of 9 lessons. Because we believe that all people should learn to swim, we keep our pricing accessible, at $50 for all 9 lessons.

     

    ● Please complete this online form and submit payment by first lesson.
    ● Eastmoor swim lessons are open to members and non-members of the Eastmoor Pool.

    ● The fee is $50.00 per Session of 9 lessons per swimmer.

    2024 Swim Lesson Session Details

    - There are two swim lesson sessions available:

    - Session 1 lessons are complete.

    - Session 2 lesson dates: July 21, 22, 25, 28, 29 and August 1, 4, 5, 8.

    - Swim lessons meet Sundays 12-12:45pm, and Mondays/Thursdays 6-6:45pm.

  • SESL League Photo/Video Policy

    Members and Guests of the Eastmoor Swordfish Swim Team must adhere to the following photo and video guidelines at all South East Swim League events and locations:

    As part of our commitment to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all swimmers and their families, we have established the following photography policy.

     

    By participating in our summer swim team league, swimmers and parents agree to adhere to these guidelines during swim meets:

     

    1. Respect Privacy: Be mindful when photographing or recording videos, ensuring that other children are not included in your images without explicit permission from their parents or guardians.

     

    2. Non-Compromising Photos: Ensure that all photographs and videos taken are appropriate and do not compromise the privacy of any swimmer or meet attendee. Photographs should not be taken from behind seimming blocks at the start of a race.

     

    3. Posting Photos Online: Do not post photos or videos online without the consent of the individuals appearing in them, or, in the case of minors, their parents or guardians.

     

    We understand that swim meets are a time for making memories. We encourage you to capture these moments responsibly and respectfully. By following these guidelines, we can ensure a positive and respectful environment for all participants.
